Who we are...

Meet The Team

My MEDIC LDU Director & Advisor
Dr. Liz Forty
"I am a chartered psychologist and have worked in mental health research for many years, and medical education for over ten years. I am passionate about My MEDIC LDU and the work we do supporting students in their learning journeys. I live in Cardiff with my husband, two children and Jack Russell. I enjoy trail running and karate in my spare time."

My MEDIC LDU Deputy Director & Advisor
Dr. Ceri Evans
"I'm a consultant psychiatrist and was year 3 director from 2019 to 2023. Rwy’n dod o Gaerdydd a rwy’n siaradwr Cymraeg. Supporting students and helping them develop and grow is what I most enjoy. When I'm not at work my focus is being a good husband and a dad to 3 kids and an anxious Irish Setter. Going to live music and running is how I relax (I'm also secretly into improv theatre too)."

My MEDIC LDU Deputy Director
Dr Thomas Kitchen
"Hello! Thanks for reading. Alongside my role in My MEDIC I Co-direct Canopi which provides me with insight into the challenges that exist across post-graduate careers in medicine. I’m passionate about learning how we work best as individuals, as part of a team and in the systems around us. I am a dad, a husband, a colleague, a runner, and I’m a doctor."
