Course Touchpoints
There are various points at which we meet with students throughout the Cardiff Medical Programme. Here is an outline of what input and impact we provide. Of course, outside of these more formalised touchpoints, we meet with students on a one-to-one basis, driven by individual student needs, making the service truly student led.
Across the Programme...
The My Medic team delivers various sessions across the five years of the medical education programme at Cardiff. We run sessions from Suicide Awareness to Caring for Doctors. Use the sliders below to see what we offer across each year.
What our students say...
"The MyMedic team really helped me through a different period. They helped me find the support I needed when I didn't know who to turn to."
Year 3 MMEd Student
"My my medic adviser helped me get an occupational health referral when I had an unexpected issue and needed extra time away from my studies."
Year 1 GEM Student
"I was struggling managing my time organising myself and just generally being motivated. The My Medic Occ Psych helped me understand how to manage my time better, get on the front foot as well as find balance. I am truly grateful for that."
Year 5 MMEd Student
"I got unsatisfatory in a PT and then borderline. I was so embarrassed I couldn't talk to my friends or parents. The MyMedic team were there to listen, support me through this and help me learn how to learn to then go on to pass my next PT and get back on track."
